The main exhibition of Tallinna Architecture Biennale “Body Building”, curated by Sille Pihlak and Siim Tuksam, will open tonight at the Museum of Estonian Architecture. The exhibition presents an impressive line-up of internationally renowned architects and researchers, experimenting on the borderline of architecture, using new materials, cutting edge technology (robotic fabrication, multi material 3d printing, real time data analyses) and reaching out to new disciplines (fashion, engineering).
Among the ten exhibits to be presented at the Museum of Estonian Architecture are recent or custom made works for "Body Building" by Atelier Bruno Juricic from Croatia/USA, Tom Wiscombe Architecture from USA, Kokkugia (Roland Snooks and Robert Stuart-Smith) from Australia, REX|Lab (Marjan Colletti and Kadri Tamre) from Austria/UK, ISSSStudio (Igor Siddiqui) from USA, Julia Körner from USA/Austria, Carlo Ratti Associati from Italy, City Form Lab (Andres Sevtsuk and Raul Kalvo) from Singapore/Estonia, nformations from Austria, Moritz Dörstelmann and Achim Menges from Germany.
The pieces include spectacular architectural prototypes that make use of new technologies enabling the viewers a peek into the future of space, buildings, design and everyday objects.
The main exhibition will be open from 11th September to 11th October 2015 in the Museum of Estonian Architecture, Ahtri 2, Tallinn.
